A BLACK AUGUST Film Screening of 'Dope is Death' & Letter writing
We will be screening the amazing documentary Dope Is Death. Dedicated to Dr. Matulu Shakur this film tells the story of the Lincoln Detox Acupuncture clinic and its political education towards a liberated society and free healthcare.
After, we will be discussing the organization efforts by the Black Panther Party and The Young Lords as well as letter writing to political prisoner and revolutionary leader and icon Mumia Abu-Jamal.
