Join us for the 2nd Annual Brit's Gift Demonstration of Love Luncheon. Brit's Gift was founded by San Antonio-area Realtor, Cathy Heshmat, in response to the heartbreaking loss of her son, Britton, to addiction in 2019. Brit's Gift exists to minimize the financial barrier between loved ones and addiction treatment.

Dan began his career as a sober veteran with a drive to serve others and share his experience and hope. He began as an Interventionist for Drug and Alcohol Addiction, thus, founding Rise Recovery Services, Inc about 20 years ago. He then transitioned to coaching and companionship with seemingly hopeless cases. He quickly developed a reputation for his positive outcomes and began building and operating treatment centers as a contractor. After noticing the multiple areas of failure and increase in death and relapse, Dan decided to create his own system.

Dan also volunteers and holds positions with local law enforcement agencies. Currently, he is active on Texas Human Trafficking Coalition and Fentanyl Task Force for Williamson County Sheriff’s Department. His activities include law enforcement and public education, sentencing and prosecution suggestions, resource and case management, and victim services. He also regularly responds to the scene of sting operations and jails to provide recovery services or intervention.

He has since made it his life’s mission to help change the minds of medical and mental health professionals on their view of addiction and how they treat them. His company has grown exponentially, strictly by word of mouth and the reputation of RISE. Today, RISE treats about 2,400 patients per year and continues to grow and innovate. Dan plans to bring this much needed resource to Louisiana by opening the first RISE Community Hospital which will become Americas first sober healthcare system.
