21st Annual Frank Bryant, Jr., MD Memorial Distinguished Lecture
Can laws and policies help establish health care equity in our communities? Leader in public health and civil rights law – and our keynote speaker – Dayna Bowen Matthew, JD, PhD believes so! The 21st Annual Frank Bryant, Jr. MD, Memorial Distinguished Lecture is back this Spring, providing yet another thoughtful discussion on ethics in health care.
Tuesday, April 9, 2024 | 12 to 1 p.m. | UT Health San Antonio Holly Auditorium
Every year, the Charles E. Cheever, Jr. Center for Medical Humanities and Ethics provides continuing education in ethics for health care providers in the community. This year, our lecture will cover:
• Ways that racial bias is a primary cause of inequity in health care delivery and disparate health outcomes.
• Understand ways medical providers, including physicians and other clinicians, can contribute to reducing health disparities by reducing bias and structural inequality.
• Mingle with other health care professionals.
