What's Happening This Weekend? Lots!

Another weekend packed full of fun events. I've been looking around for the most interesting and came up with a few you might put on your radar. First off, tonight it's Ray Wylie Hubbard.

(hit Listen above to hear him)

He’s one of Texas’ grittiest singer-songwriters. You may remember his "Up Against The Wall, Redneck Mother" from back in the 70s.  Tonight he’s playing at Legendary Gruene Hall.

Then on Saturday morning something decidedly different. Here’s Kelly Kendall.

"Yoga on the plaza is this Saturday at 10AM.”

The Plaza is the palm-lined one that backs up to the River Walk behind the Tobin Center.

"We invite everybody to come down. Bring a friend, bring your mat.  The class is for beginners, for intermediates. Anyone who wants to come is more than welcome to participate in this absolutely free class.”

Yoga company Mobile Om will be instructing on the plaza, that’s fortunately shady at 10 in the morning.

“Even if you’ve never taken a yoga class before, you will be fine.”

Then on Sunday evening, hit the road to Kerrville. Kerrville’s Second Sunday Summer Serenade Concert features San Antonio’s Band of the West. Talented, active duty Air Force musicians make up the band, known for putting on a good show. And Sunday night at 7 they’re putting on a free one at the city’s newly re-opened Louise Hays Park.

We’ve more on Ray Wylie Hubbard at Gruene Hall here.
