The "100 Deadliest Days" is the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when an average of 10 people are killed daily in crashes involving a teen driver.

From Texas Standard:

photo in the Houston Chronicle this week shows some of the hundreds of people waiting in line to get a driver's license at a Department of Public Safety (DPS) office. Lining up to apply for a driver's license is never a pleasant experience, but this month it got even worse when DPS abruptly announced cuts in business hours at 11 of the state's busiest driver's license offices, along with plans to lay off more than 100 employees.

The Transportation Security Administration (the TSA) says it could stop accepting the Texas driver’s license as a valid form of identification by the end of the year. Texans would be required to produce another form of I.D. like a passport if they want to fly even within the borders of the United States.
