The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts (SAMFA) is proud to announce its newest exhibit, "Inside Out," which will show at the Museum from September 20th, 2018 to January 20th, 2019. SAMFA is confident will be regarded as integral and relevant to the current discussion of women’s issues and women’s rights as well as informative of these issues and rights throughout the course of American history. The exhibit is led by Director Howard Taylor and Assistant Director and Collections Manager Laura Huckaby and including a team of leading scholars and curators from across the country. This team includes such individuals as Lisa Jones, an independent fashion curator, Katherine “Tae” Smith, costume and textiles expert, and Steven Porterfield, antiques expert and consultant. Inside Out is being underwritten by the Beverly and Ben Stribling Special Exhibition Trust of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts and is supported by the FMH Foundation of Midland, Texas, the Texas Commission on the Arts, Foster Communications, and the San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council. There are pieces featured in the exhibit that are on loan from various companies and collections, including the Texas Fashion Collection at the University of Northern Texas. The exhibit's opening will be September 20th, 2018 at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts from 5 PM - 9 PM.
