The increasing accessibility of explicit sexual content, especially via the internet, is raising concerns about the harm of pornography. Twenty percent of American men report porn is negatively impacting their lives. A state law passed last year requires pornographic websites to adopt age-verification measures, leading sites like Pornhub to block user access in Texas.

The site announced that they would no longer give website access to Texans in order to comply with Texas law.

A federal judge said the latest state law to require age verification on adult websites doesn't serve its purported purpose: protecting minors from viewing sexually explicit content.

Starting Sept. 1, House Bill 1181, will requires a 'Texas Health and Human Services Warning' on all porn sites and a way to verify that the web user is over 18 years old.
