Local nonprofit SA2020 recently released its 2017 impact report, tracking the city's progress in various cause areas to improve conditions within San Antonio communities.
Targeting eleven cause areas, the report uses local data to measure whether goals have been met or are on track to be met by 2020. Of the 61 primary indicators, 70 percent are seeing progress, according to the report.
The organization and their data partners CI:Now also look at the status of guidelines that are not seeing progress or may be getting worse.
In this second episode of "The Source" SA2020 impact report series, environmental sustainability and health & fitness are the key target areas.
How do energy and water use affect sustainability in the region? In what ways is local development impacting the environment? How can employment in green industries grow in San Antonio?
How can San Antonio better support access to health care and the wellness of women and children while combating obesity and diabetes? How can we help lessen additional health risks in the community?
