A new documentary airing tonight on KLRN highlights "10 Parks that Changed America," and San Antonio's prized River Walk made the cut.
Conceived by Robert Hugman, a 27-year old architect from San Antonio. He wanted control the waters of the San Antonio River downtown (easing flood concerns), create a walkable river that reflected the Spanish ancestry of the city, while creating an economic engine for shops and businesses.
