Europe is divided over how to handle the hundreds of thousands of refugees leaving Syria, as it enters a two-day summit in Brussels this week. Germany, often the economic and political conductor stands in sharp disagreement with countries in Eastern Europe who advocate a less-generous approach to the refugees. Currently aid is flowing into Turkey from the EU to slow the process of refugees into Europe.

Several flash points over the past year from the Paris shootings to the New-Year's sexual assaults in Cologn, Germany have challenged the more inclusive of Europe's nations to defend their ideals.
