The Bexar County Housing Authority has made more than $500,000 worth of questionable purchases with public dollars, according to the Inspector General at the U.S. Deptartment of Housing and Urban Development.
Reported by KENS-TV, the purchases include dinners and—in one instance—a pool pump for Housing Authority Director, Buddy Aleman's residence.
Bexar County Judge, Nelson Wolff has called for the resignation of Aleman, who as of today still runs the Bexar County Housing Authority.
Guests:
- Dillon Collier, reporter at KENS-TV
- Aurora Sanchez, former executive director for Bexar county's Community Relations department, who has been brought in as a consultant by the Bexar County Housing Authority.
