Tuesday night Mayor Ivy Taylor made it public that she would like city council to reconsider the ride-for-hire ordinance just ahead of its March 1 implementation. Ride-booking services like Uber and Lyft were critical of the ordinance saying it required too much of their drivers. Uber went so far as to threaten to leave the city if the measure was implemented.
Well now the city will press pause on the issue and revisit it.
