The Source: Rape in the Fields | Children in Jail

Andres Cediel

In the first segment:

Tonight PBS's "Frontline" presents a new special,"Rape in the Fields," describing the working conditions of immigrant women in our country's agricultural industry.  Legendary news producer Lowell Bergman joins us to talk about his investigation, and details the sometimes tragic circumstances these women find themselves in.

In the second segment:

Juvenile incarceration in Texas has dropped by 37 percent in the first 10 years of the new century, the 10 years before that it went up over 100 percent.  How do we think about juveniles that has changed?  Why the rollercoaster like swings?  Marc Levin from the Texas Public Policy Foundation joins us to talk about his new study with the National Juvenile Justice Network called "The Comeback States", which highlights 9 states, including Texas, that are leading the country in reducing the rates of kids in detention.  Also, Judge Laura Parker joins us to talk about the upcoming launch of the Restore Court, a juvenile court specifically for victims of sexual violence.
