'Chicago' Coming To San Antonio

Jeremy Daniel
Roz Ryan

A musical started on Broadway, went to Hollywood and finally traveled all over the world. Now it’s coming to San Antonio and I was able to speak to one of its stars.

“My name is Roz Ryan!”

Roz stars in a key role in a production you’ve surely heard of.

“We’re coming with Chicago, the Musical, which is a pretty awesome show that I’ve been in-and-out-of for about 15 years.”

Ryan’s one of those people with an over-sized Broadway personality which serves her well on stage.

"Oh, I’m Mama Morton and I pretty much run things. And if you want anything you pretty much have to come through me.”

Lots of Drama, Music, Dancing--sounds to me like hardcore Broadway. Ryan thought so too.

"It's real Broadway, before they started doing all these technical things, and having things flying around and having things takin' off and blowin' up. It's real Broadway."

She says that audiences will eat it right up.

“They’re gonna have a doggone good time. We have a lot of fun, and it’s really a great show.”

Chicago starts on Tuesday,  January and 27th, and runs through February first. We’ve morehere.
