The COVID-19 pandemic will continue to affect residents' day-to-day life for the foreseeable future, as well as bigger events — like the 2020 election.

What can be done to make Bexar County voters feel as safe as possible when they head to the polls in November?

Ideas that have been floated include adding several mega-vote centerswalk-through and drive-through curbside voting and contigency plans in case there are last-minute poll center closures, like the city saw for the July 14 run-off.

Bexar County Commissioners will consider a slew of proposals at a meeting on Friday, Aug. 14. Ultimately, all decisions about how elections are run will be made by Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen.

When will the plans for the 2020 election be solidified? What are the biggest challenges?

Guest: Justin Rodriguez, Bexar County Precinct 2 Commissioner
