Independence Day celebrations are planned in and around San Antonio on Monday.  Here's a rundown of some of the events taking place.

The official City of San Antonio celebration will be taking place at Woodlawn Lake Park all day Monday.

San Antonio Parks Foundation President and CEO Noah Almanza says there will be a carnival, a family pavilion with children’s activities, and a military appreciation zone, along with live music and food booths.

"There really is something for everyone in your family, and it's free. I mean that's one of the best reasons I think is to come out, enjoy the Fourth of July in a very fun and safe way, in a beautiful setting. I think in San Antonio there's probably not a more picturesque background to watch the fireworks being set from or on. We shoot them from right in the middle of the lake and they're just spectacular."

There’s also Freedom Fest at Market Square.

Alamo Heights will hold its annual Fourth of July Neighborhood Parade. Parades will also take place in Seguin and New Braunfels.

The Schertz Jubilee is going on at Pickrell Park.

And Robert Earl Keen will highlight Kerrville’s 4th of July on the River.

Most of these events will also be capped off with a fireworks show.

Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld also offer Fourth of July celebrations with fireworks.
