Vice presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris speaks to a crowd of people in the parking lot of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg.

With less than a week before Election Day, Sen. Kamala Harris came to the Lone Star State to campaign. The vice presidential candidate visited Forth Worth and McAllen before heading to Houston.

While in McAllen, Harris spoke at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Edinburg campus.

She spoke on the importance of voting, telling the crowd everything is at stake.

MJ Hegar — who is running to unseat Sen. John Cornyn — spoke at the event, along with Congressman Henry Cuellar. Former HUD Secretary and San Antonio mayor Julián Castro was also on stage with his twin brother Congressman Joaquin Castro.

More than 9 million Texans have voted so far — which is more than the state's total votes in 2016.

Presidential candidate Joe Biden was visiting the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, while President Trump was in Watership Township in Michigan on Friday.
