The St. Philip's College CultureFest and Rib Cook-Off is an official Fiesta® San Antonio event held on the St. Philip's College MLK campus. It is a high-energy and kid-friendly festival featuring a rib cook-off, LIVE music, a car show, food and non-food vendors, and several grill raffles, all in one location!
Join San Antonio Parks & Recreation for a Fiesta-themed party and enjoy a fun day of activities with existing amigos...and make some new ones! This event is hosted at one of Parks' Adult & Senior Centers, adults 18 and up are welcome to attend.

Join our friend Mrs. Wendy and friends, plus Mango the Friendly Tarantula, to hear stories and create a habitat for an arthropod. Mobi will bring nature girl Neoma and her insect puppet friends. Then, let's have some fun at our nature playground or head out into the park to find arachnids, insects, crustaceans, and myriapods! This is part of a Storytime series with Mrs. Wendy, where little ones can learn, explore, and then have their own nature story adventure in the park!

San Antonio College’s music business program presents Fredstock, a free music festival that’s an official Fiesta Event. Bands include:Grupo Metal featuring Chris Perez, El Dusty, Los #3 Dinners, Jason Kane & the Jive,The Wizard, Powered Wig Machine.The event is open to all ages. Food trucks will be onsite. Bring your own lawn chairs. Fredstock, now in its 16th year, is named after SAC faculty member and founder of the music business program Fred Weiss.
May 1, 2025 Thirsty Thursday:The Texas Exes Fredericksburg Chapter’s monthly Thirsty Thursday will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 5:00 pm at The Officers’ Club at the Hangar Hotel, located at 155 Airport Road in Fredericksburg.
The business meeting will primarily focus on 2025 scholarships, including a brief review of the scholarship process, announcement of 2025 recipients and their awards, and plans for the June 5 Scholarship Thirsty Thursday. Updates on Chapter renewal process and other Chapter business will be discussed. Member news and May birthdays will be shared.
The Officers’ Club offers a full bar in a lovely setting overlooking the Gillespie County Airport. The Hangar Hotel will provide light snacks for the meeting, and The Club will only be open for the Texas Exes Fredericksburg Chapter’s meeting. All current and former students and their families and all friends of the University of Texas at Austin are encouraged to attend Thirsty Thursday and get your Hook ‘Em on!

"For the Love of Collage" is a group exhibition in honor of World Collage Day. Curated by artists Marcy McChesney and Vikky Jones, it features over 15 San Antonio artists chosen for their originality and vibrancy in the medium of collage and mixed media.World Collage Day is an annual, international celebration of collage on the Second Saturday of May. Initiated by Ric Kasini Kadour, the editor of Kolaj Magazine in 2018, the day is to highlight the community of collage artists and to remind the world what a spirit of cooperation, mutual support, and creativity can look like.Special event May 10, 1–6pm

Presented by the URBAN-15 Group, the Josiah Media Festival is one of few film festivals around the world dedicated to showcasing outstanding works by artists 21 years old and younger.
The 19th JMF will accept film submissions from May 1st – August 1st, 2025.
The festival presents a career-defining opportunity for young media artists to showcase their work around the world. The festival was founded in 2007 in honor of San Antonio filmmaker Josiah Miles Neundorf by his parents, Marcus and Nancy Neundorf, who collaborated with URBAN-15 to create this event.
Now in it’s 19th year, JMF not only streams globally, but has grown to screen films submitted from all around of the world.

Celebrate Women’s History Month at Northwest Vista College. Sabra Booth & Sophie Sanders, Blue: Water as Metaphor Exhibition, March 24-May 9,

Booth and Sanders met while both living in New York City in the early 2000’s. Their water themed work depicts imagery of the female form, as well as aquifer fauna and flora. They also collaborated on an artist book for the exhibition, which additionally includes Sander’s large cyanotypes and Booth’s prints.
