Zenith of Zeigarnik - Artist Talk

Zenith of Zeigarnik - Artist Talk

Join artist Miguel Rodriguez for an inside look at Zenith of Zeigarnik. He’ll share how 3D scanning, augmented reality, and experimental technologies shape his creative process, transforming everyday spaces into immersive works. The talk offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how memory and technology intersect in his practice.

Zenith of Zeigarnik is a new body of work by designer and artist Miguel Rodriguez that explores personal and geographic memory through digital form. Reimagining drawings from the artist’s past, the work expands into a multidimensional visual world rendered through 3D modeling, sculpting, and volumetric photogrammetry. The work moves across four screens as a living archive of both past and speculative selfhood, integrating fragments of San Antonio’s built environment such as taquerías, hand-painted signs, and fallen structures. This exhibition continues Rodriguez’s larger practice of creative world-building through perpetual rebirth, situated at the intersection of memory, invention, and machine. Zenith of Zeigarnik is a conceptual inquiry into the architectures we inherit and the ones we construct to survive within – or without.
