Texas Water Survey

Texas Water Survey

The Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute currently has open two statewide surveys of interest to all audiences, the Texas Landowner Survey and the Texas Water Survey. Each is important and relevant to state residents. The Texas Water Survey is a new statewide survey. The audience for this survey is any state resident. The Water Survey is multiple choice, voluntary, confidential and anonymous, covering the daily use and management of water resources across Texas in 10 topic areas (general water questions, water dependability, accessibility of information, cost of water, future water needs, water quality, water recreation, private wells, flooding and drought, and water users). The survey takes between 20-30 minutes to complete. An outcome of the survey is giving voice to state resident general water experiences and concerns so that these can be shared with residents, water leaders, professionals and community leaders to spark conversations around water and to recommend and develop programs, informational materials and technical guidance. More information about the Texas Water Survey can be found on the Institute’s website (here) and in our attached Surveys Flyers. Water impacts all Texans. There are many regions across the state with challenged water infrastructure and resources, Laredo, TX is a recent example, and with your help, we would like to hear from state residents about their water needs and concerns. Please consider responding to the survey. We are hoping to receive a wide response, as it will be closing soon. As a token of our appreciation, anyone participating in the survey has the option of entering a voluntary raffle to win 1 of 15 Yeti® Texas Land Trends tumblers (drawings on April 18, 2022). I am hopeful for a successful campaign with your help. Please feel free to call (979.845.1851) or email (alopez@ag.tamu.edu) with any questions about the survey. Thank you sincerely for your assistance and consideration. Your responses matter and will help all Texans!
