Texas-based Argentinian open fire pit master and online celebrity, Al Frugoni of the Al Frugoni Brand, is hosting the most epic BBQ event of the year right here in South Texas!

The 4th annual Open Fire Meat Up, featuring more than 90 top BBQ content creators and pitmasters from all over the world (including Derek Wolf (@overthefirecooking), Matt Groark (groarkboysbbq), Chuck Matto (chucksflavortrain) and Breanna Stark (@marriedtobbq)) is happening at The Barn at Quail Crossing in Hondo, Texas on Saturday, October 26th. The event is a family-friendly fundraiser for GOMEDINA first responders.

"This is going to be the biggest open fire event in the country. We have pitmasters flying in from all over the world for this," says Frugoni. "No other event has this many pitmasters, cooks and influencers all gathered in one place... cooking more food than you could possibly eat."

For just $25 per person, guests get to "pig out" on a vast menu of succulent barbecued meats and sides, including whole steer, brisket, whole hogs, alligator, Texas chili, Texas beans and so much more - all cooked by your favorite celebrity pitmasters and barbecue influencers from around the globe, including Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Chile, England, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Uruguay and Scotland.

Guests are also encouraged to vote for their favorite dish from their favorite team of the day. Awards will be given out for both People's Choice and Judge's Choice (which includes a panel of celebrity judges). The event will also feature live music and activities for kids to enjoy.
