BlingFest, a celebration of adornment, is a two-day bead and artisan market hosted by the San Antonio Bead Society. Wares will include beads and "findings" (the bits that hold it all together), sterling-silver chains and charms, as well as artisan-made jewelry and components made from pearls and gemstones, lampwork glass, polymer clay, resin, paper and more. A "make-and-take" area on Saturday will offer the opportunity for attendees to make their own beaded jewelry. The activity is free for children, $5 for adults. Sunday, a daylong Golden Egg Hunt will offer attendees the opportunity to find freebies and vendor coupons throughout the building and grounds. Early attendees will receive swag bags full of goodies. Parking and admission are free.
