Port Isabel Lighthouse Easter Egg History Hunt

Port Isabel Lighthouse Easter Egg History Hunt

The Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site and the City of Port Isabel will host the 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Lighthouse on Saturday, March 30th. This event is free and open to the public.

This year’s hunt will also include a HISTORY HUNT! 1,000 RED Easter Eggs marked with PORT ISABEL LIGHTHOUSE STATE HISTORIC SITE will be scattered among the other eggs. Open the egg and follow the instructions for even more prizes!

Starting on Saturday, March 23rd, the Port Isabel Lighthouse, Visitor Center, Port Isabel Historical Museum and the Port Isabel Public Library will be giving out RED Easter Eggs marked with PORT ISABEL LIGHTHOUSE STATE HISTORIC SITE to any student visiting. The Treasure Hunt will start on 3/23. Instructions will be included in the RED EGGS.

It’s a different kind of “hunt”. Over 20,000 eggs will be scattered on the hill of the Lighthouse. Participants will need to bring their own baskets and will line up on the north and south sides of Lighthouse Park. At 10 a.m. the starting line will be released, and the fun begins. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance and posing for photos.
