This Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, The Great Book Giveaway is the Northside Librarians' way to place new or gently used books into the hands of elementary, middle and high school students, free of charge! Have an adult drive you to William J. Brennan High School (2400 Cottonwood Way) or Paul Taylor Field House (7001 Culebra Road) and from your car, you will receive a bag with new and gently used books at no cost! The event is made possible by our most generous partners in education: H-E-B and Half Price Books, as well as Thorndike Press, SA Reads, Scholastic Book Fairs, and Macmillan Books.
