Fiesta Medal Celebrates WellMed's Commitment to Community-Centered Care for Seniors
The WellMed Charitable Foundation (WCF) 2026 Fiesta Medal, designed by WellMed employee Andrew Ramos, tells the story of the company in meaningful detail. From the 24/7 sun with teal arrow symbolizing around-the-clock care to the stethoscope and medical cross reflecting the company’s clinical roots and proactive approach to health. Every element has a story wrapped in a ribbon that reads “Caring for our Community” signifying its guiding values of compassion, focus on community-centered care, and commitment to improving the lives of older adults and caregivers.
The WCF 2026 Fiesta Medals are $10 and can be purchased online at www.wellmedgives.org, 100 percent of the proceeds benefit the WellMed Charitable Foundation.
The foundation offers a variety of programs that directly serve seniors and their caregivers across Texas and Florida. The foundation engages in partnerships that explore innovative ways to care for seniors. In addition, the foundation has contributed millions to non-profit partners who serve the senior and caregiver population. It is predominantly funded by the employees of WellMed Medical Management whose contributions are matched by WellMed Medical Management and UnitedHealth Group. Additional funding comes from business partners and event sponsors who support foundation events throughout the year.
The foundation also seeks partnerships with healthcare providers, grant funders, researchers and universities with a common interest to change the face of healthcare for seniors.
