How you dress is an important form of self-expression, but what do you do when the clothes on the rack don’t tell your story? In this inclusive program, Lorena Auguste, local fashion designer will show you how to make simple mends and edits to upcycle clothes to express yourself. Skills will include hemming, mending simple tears, shortening sleeves, adding lace and other ornamentation. Lorena will also offer instruction in the basics of design, helping participants craft outfits that may mix different styles, fabrics, and gender presentations.
