Composting: Tackling Food Waste to Improve Soil Health

Composting: Tackling Food Waste to Improve Soil Health

Tackle food waste at home!

San Antonio Composting Project's Education Director will share best practices for composting on a small, medium or large scale along with the science behind why composting works to amend our soil and how we can speed up the composting process. Hands on activity will be building worm habitats with an option to purchase for a nominal fee. SA Composting Project, and anyone who composts, promotes healthy soil by amending poor soil with compost. Healthier soil holds water more efficiently, leading to healthier plants that help hold onto the soil and prevent precipitation runoff.

This event is perfect for anyone interested in living a more eco-friendly lifestyle and making a positive impact on the planet. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn how you can help create a more sustainable future!
