CNC: Identification Nature Walk

CNC: Identification Nature Walk

Join Jane Weeden, Alamo Area Master Naturalist, to explore the Phil Hardberger Park with iNaturalist.

We’ll begin by introducing the basics of the iNaturalist app used to identify and document plants, birds, insects and other critters. Then walk along park trails for about a mile as we identify and document as many native species as we can find!

City Nature Challenge
This nature walk is part of the preparation for the City Nature Challenge (CNC). From April 26 to April 29, San Antonio Natural Areas, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, and Texas Parks Wildlife Department will participate in a fun challenge to see which city can document the most plant and animal species. It's easy to participate by simply making observations on your own using iNaturalist!

To learn more about the City Nature Challenge 2024 in the San Antonio Area, please visit CNC-SA.org.
