Beginners Basic Vegetable Gardening 5-Part Series
Our Instructors are part of the Texas AgrLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System and their outreach efforts are focused on Improving Texans' lives through the application of science-based knowledge and practices to home gardeners. As garden educators, we provide high-quality, relevant continuing education that encourages lasting and effective change. We provide programs, tools, and resources -local and statewide- that teach people how to improve gardening, agriculture, and food production.
This is a 5-class series designed for beginning gardeners to learn basic gardening skills and techniques. You will learn how to select a site, prepare the soil, build the beds, install irrigation, direct seeding and transplants, plant care, and maintain vegetables properly as well as gain skills to successfully produce food and identify common insect and disease problems.
