The San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind and Vision Impaired will be celebrating White Cane Safety Day at Beautify San Antonio Park on Friday, October 14 at 11 a.m. White Cane Safety Day is a nationally celebrated day that brings awareness to the public about the abilities the blind community holds. We’ll have an exciting schedule of events which includes a proclamation and a wonderful keynote speaker, Paul Boskind, who is a fascinating representative of the blind community as a TONY award-winning producer and a member of President Biden’s Committee for Intellectual Disabilities. The program will be from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. followed by food and vendors from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
