Bids Pour In On Design Deadline For Trump's Border Wall

Design proposals for President Trump’s wall along the U.S. border with Mexico are due today. Hundreds of companies have responded to the government’s call for submissions, from major defense contractors like Raytheon to small construction firms.

One of them is from Carlsbad, California-based Tridipanel, which has proposed a zigzagging wall built with a lightweight but durable material made out of layered wire mesh and polystyrene foam covered in cement.

Here & Now‘s Peter O’Dowd talks with Rod Hadrian, who owns Tridipanel and voted for Trump, about his design and why he wants to be involved with such a controversial project.
