An annual celebration of the arts on Saturdaywill certainly attract thousands.
The San Antonio Clay and Art Festival features roughly 45 vendors, working primarily in ceramics, “both utilitarian and sculptural," said Linda Perez of San Antonio Potters Guild.
In other words, dishes, bowls and mugs will be on display, along with ceramic art.
"There will also be a wonderful assortment of glass artists, fiber artists and printmaking artists," she said.

The event is at the west courtyard of San Antonio Museum of Art, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
Perez said while commercial ceramic dishes certainly will get the job done, they just don't have the soul of these one-of-a-kind pieces.
“There is a unique difference when it is handmade,” she said. “You can still tell each one is different.”
The event allowspotters and other artists to display their work right before the holidays. Starting at 4 p.m., entrance to the museum is free, allowing visitors to see the lighting of the Museum Reach stretch of the River Walk.
