There’s a lot going on in San Antonio this weekend. I've got a snapshot of a few things you might consider. First, a San Antonio Symphony stop at the Tobin Center where symphony President David Gross tells us what’s going on Friday and Saturday nights.
"The concert is titled the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto. We have a guest artist—Andrew Gavrylyuk, and our Music Director Sebastian Lang-Lessing conducting. And we also have a Discover Concert of the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto Sunday afternoon at 3PM."
Next on Saturday morning—The San Pedro Creek Project--if you haven’t really heard about it, here’s your chance to. The San Antonio River Authority has a detailed presentation.
“The presentation and open house will be at the St. Henry’s Catholic Church Hall. At 9AM the presentation starts and the open house goes to eleven.”
They’ll show how the near west side creek will be re-imagined, and they're asking for your input.
“We have split the project into six different character areas, and so we’ll have visuals of each of those character areas.”
And finally on Sunday night out to Helotes…“…and the Heart of Rock-n-Roll, Heart of Rock-n-Roll is still beating…”
Huey Lewis and the News are making headlines by playing at Floore’s Country Store.
