The Wooten family had a harrowing escape from New Orleans. Trapped in the city's impoverished Algiers section for a full week, they had to fight off violent looters and forage for food.

Evacuated to Cape Cod, Mass., the Wootens say they're done with Louisiana. Terrial and Patrick Wooten are enrolling their two teenage sons in high school and staying in Massachusetts.
