As security tightens this week around financial buildings in New York and Washington, D.C., a major East Coast landmark reopened for the first time since Sept. 11, 2001: the Statue of Liberty.
New York author Bruce Feiler visited the newly re-opened site on a sunny, windy day. Feiler, author of the book Abraham: A Journey to the Heart of Three Faiths, offers a commentary with some of his observations from the day.
