The FM 481 bridge over the Nueces River will reopen Sunday, just over a month after historic flooding washed away part of the bridge approach. TxDOT says emergency repairs were completed 37 days after work began, several weeks ahead of schedule.

Powerful flooding along the Nueces River has destroyed part of the FM 481 bridge southwest of Uvalde, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
