The Texas Legislature has already passed a bill requiring age verification to download apps and is seriously considering another to ban children from social media.

Texas’ abortion ban does not include exceptions for rape or incest.

The measure, authored by Rep. Steve Toth, R-Woodlands, has a 10-year statute of limitations. Opponents say the wide scope of the proposal makes it dangerous.
