Local nonprofit SA2020 recently released its 2018 impact report, tracking the city's progress in various cause areas to improve conditions within San Antonio communities.
Targeting eleven cause areas, the report uses local data to measure whether goals have been met or are on track to be met by 2020.
Every year, "The Source" does a deep dive into the impact report. This first episode of the series looks at SA2020's overall mission, goals, challenges and year-over-year takeaways. What happens to SA2020 when we hit 2020?
We'll also address impact report methodology. Why were specific indicators chosen to measure progress? How is data collected and analyzed?
What impact does this data have on the San Antonio community? How are yearly updates used by the more than 160 multi-sector partner organizations?
Subsequent shows in this series will be broken down by certain identifiable “complex community challenges”: affordable housing; mobility; family violence; education and workforce; and early childhood. What questions do you have about these topics? What would you like to see addressed during future impact report-related discussions?
