CineFestival, an annual showcase of Latinx film hosted by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, is marking four decades this year with the theme "Hecho en Tejas," or "Made in Texas."
The event will screen 56 films over four days, from July 5 to 8. Forty-one of the titles were developed by Texas directors or shot in-state, and 23 of the featured movies are helmed by San Antonio-based filmmakers.
This year's festival will also highlight women in the film industry, including a five-film showcase featuring the work of female filmmakers living along the U.S.-Mexico border.
