Shoppers Are More Vulnerable To Cyberattacks During The Holidays. Is Your Data Safe?

Web and mobile outlets are now the easiest avenues for crossing off items on holiday shopping lists. 

Online retailers are a convenient way to beat the crowds, but shopping on the web can expose shoppers to certain risk.

Phishing scams, identity theft and privacy breaches are now commonplace, with real-life consequences and costs. Last year in Texas, an estimated $77.1 million was lost to internet criminals, according to an FBI report released earlier this year. 

What kinds of cyberattacks are most common? In what new ways are hackers targeting consumers' online information? 

What makes personal accounts vulnerable and what steps can be taken to protect private data?
