For 7 years, Haven for Hope has been working to improve the lives of San Antonio community members experiencing homelessness.
Bexar County homelessness is down 15 percent since Haven's operations began in 2010. Still, at any given time, 1,400 people – including 170 children – live at the shelter.
The organization employs a multifaceted approach and the support of 93 partners to provide shelter and services, and to continue working to address the root causes of homelessness.
Guests:
- David Hernandez, senior director of Haven for Hope Bexar County
- Laura Calderon, Haven for Hope director of external relations
