From a Patriotic Pops performance, to a cave concert, to the Texas Salsa Festival, the holiday weekend holds the promise of plenty of fun here in South Texas.
"This is going to be a program of American popular music and patriotic music. Very stirring program in honor of Memorial Day Weekend," he said.
They are doing a wide variety of patriotic music, with a long list of composers, including George M. Cohan, Irving Berlin, as well assongs by Leonard Bernstein, and John Phillip Sousa marches.

“We're going to be playing the Armed Services theme songs and honoring veterans, and those serving in the U.S."
"When guests arrive to the Texas Salsa Festival they'll be receiving a wooden nickel and some Texan original chips, and they will be able to sample all the salsas," she said.

These salsas have been created by people from all over the state. She said you get a taste of them all, then vote on the best in Texas. Yardeni added that there's also food, there's music, there's drink, and, given the hot weekend, “there is some natural shade throughout the park,” said with a laugh.
She said there will also be large tents with seating inside. The Texas Salsa Festival is Saturday only.
"We're presenting a concert version of our album that we just released," he said.
As to what kind of music they play, Moore said, "We don't just love one type of music, we love all different genres of music.”

What: Cave concert
Where: Cave Without A Name, Boerne
When: 7:30 p.m. Sunday
Moore added: "We start off the album with an electronic dance music piece, for string quartet, which is kinda crazy because it's a very virtuoso piece."
Concerts at the cave are about 100 feet underground, down 126 stairs to attend the concert.
