Peyton Spriester Introduces Us To The Term 'Princessing'

Elena Souris

Peyton Spriester is 16 and our youngest storyteller to date. In this story she introduces us to a new kind of job and the term "princessing." Growing up as a shy child, it was theater and acting that brought her out of her shell. She now gets paid to dress up as Disney princesses for children's parties. She walks us through the funny moments of working with kids who think you are a fairytale princess.

This story was recorded at the April 4, 2017 Worth Repeating with the theme "It's My Party And I'll Cry If I Want To." Worth Repeating is Texas Public Radio's live, storytelling event series.

Paul served at Texas Public Radio from 2011 to 2025, most recently leading the Accountability Desk.
