A Christmas Story From San Antonio's Jazz Legend, Jim Cullum

Elena Souris

Jim Cullum, famed coronetist, Jazz band leader, club owner and creator of now-defunct Public Radio staple "Riverwalk Jazz" recounts the story of the bullet in the bar for the Worth Repeating audience.

One Christmas Eve a cat burglar comes face to face with Santa - or a approximation at least - and the resulting chaos holds gun shots, flying beer and a passed-out man.

Recorded on April 5th, 2016, the following tracks are the final show in season one of Worth Repeating, Texas Public Radio's Live Storytelling event series.

Paul served at Texas Public Radio from 2011 to 2025, most recently leading the Accountability Desk.
