Three suspects have been arrested without incident following a manhunt that began when a mail carrier was shot in the leg and car-jacked over the weekend in Spring Branch.
The two men and a woman were apprehended overnight at a motel just south of downtown San Antonio.
The postal worker was delivering mail on Saturday when the car-jacking happened. That vehicle was later recovered.
The suspects are also believed to have been the ones who led officials on a chase on Highway 281 on the North Side on Monday possibly shooting at officers before getting away.
On Tuesday afternoon, officials caught up with them once again at a Jim’s Restaurant on the North Side where one of them fired a shot at officers before fleeing into North Star Mall, prompting a lockdown for a couple hours. They got away again.
Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers were involved in the case.
