Trump To Speak At San Antonio Fundraiser Today

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be in San Antonio around noon today to fundraise and speak to supporters in the wake of a 2005 video in which he is heard speaking lewdly about women and bragging about groping and kissing women without their consent.

The controversial audio caught on a live mic surfaced less than a week ago and played a role in the second presidential debate with moderator Anderson Cooper taking Trump to task for talking about his willingness to sexually assault women, a charge Trump denied and claimed Cooper misheard. The controversy has caused several key Republican supporters to pull back on their support but many Trump proponants accept the candidate’s explanation that it was simply “locker room” talk and they have accepted his apology.Trump will speak at a private fundraiser at noon at the Grand Hyatt. The fundraiser is being hosted by UT Board of Regent Gene Powell. Lt. Gov.Dan Patrick will also attend.  Protesters are gathering outside the event and at a Democratic Party press conference.

Trump will speak later this afternoon at another fundraiser in Dallas.
