Willow End of Life Education & Planning, Empowered Choices Part 2: End-of-Life Legal Essentials

Willow End of Life Education & Planning, Empowered Choices Part 2: End-of-Life Legal Essentials

Empowered Choices Part 2: End-of-Life Legal Essentials is a practical, engaging Willow Workshop® that will cover the following:

● Understanding the essential legal documents needed for advance care and estate planning. Without them, decisions may be made for you that don't align with your values.
● Selecting the right people to make medical, financial, and legal decisions on your behalf. Your substitute decision-maker, power of attorney, and executor must be trustworthy and capable.
● Discussing your wishes before a crisis hit ensures your representatives are prepared to act. Legal documents aren’t enough—conversations matter.
● Planning now reduces stress later. Completing these documents prevents confusion, legal battles, and emotional burden.
● Become empowered to help others get their legal documents completed and up to date.

Note that this is the second in a series of 3 workshops. The workshop is free and open to the public. Register at mysapl.org or call the Pan American branch at 210-207-9150 during library hours.
