UT San Antonio Last Lecture Series: John Frederick, "Change and Changing Perspectives"
The Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at UT San Antonio is pleased to welcome John Frederick, who will deliver his last lecture "Change and Changing Perspectives".
John Frederick is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He earned an A.B. from Princeton and an A.M. and Ph.D. from Harvard and taught on the Chemistry faculty of the University of Nevada, Reno from 1988-2001, serving as chair of the department (1999-2001) and director of the Chemical Physics program (1990-2001). He was appointed Executive Vice-President and Provost at Nevada from 2001-2007, then served as a Senior Fellow at the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities in 2007-08. Dr. Frederick was appointed Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs at UTSA from 2008-2016, and served concurrently as interim Vice-President for Research in 2012-13. He is a native of San Antonio, and is married with two college-age children.
