Join us on March 11, 2026 at the Irma & Emilio Nicolas Media Center at Texas Public Radio (321 W Commerce St, San Antonio, TX 78205) for a special evening celebrating film, music, and the art of baking. Vendor marketplace begins at 6:00 PM, highlighting local entrepreneurs whose work reflects the spirit of the film, followed by a red carpet at 6:30 PM. The screening begins at 7:30 PM and includes a special presentation of Most Likely To ahead of SweetNess, with a Q&A to follow moderated by TPR’s Tori Pool. Cocktail attire is encouraged.

SweetNess, a Screenville Films production, tells the story ofInes, a baker with a thriving home business, has all the ingredients for success – except the confidence to open her own storefront. Her fiery Aunt Amalia pushes her to dream bigger and take more risks. Torn between fear and ambition, Ines expresses her inner turmoil through song, revealing the hopes and hunger for something more. When tragedy strikes, she must decide if she’s ready to rise and claim the life she’s always imagined.

The film is written and directed by Vanessa Rae Lerma, with music by Jaime Lozano and lyrics by David Davila. Executive Producers include Alexandra Castro, Jeanette Loredo, Sam Lerma, and Vanessa Rae Lerma. Producers include Esmeralda Hernandez, Kristin Quintanilla, and Adalina Villarreal.
