SOLI’s Contemporary Classical Open Mic Night, in partnership with Texas Public Radio, is quickly becoming a mainstay of the concert calendar in San Antonio – and this year is no exception! Are you a closet crooner, budding impresario, or an avid weekend-warrior performer? Open Mic is the perfect opportunity for you to polish your favorite contemporary classical work and take the stage live for SOLI’s enthusiastic and appreciative audience, watching online. Complete the application on their web site before February 14, 2021 for your chance to perform. Participants will be notified of their acceptance no later than Wednesday, February 17, 2021. We look forward to receiving your information and welcoming you to the SOLI stage for Open Mic Night! SOLI Chamber Ensemble is taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of performers . Performers will wear masks while inside the performance area during set-up and transitions. The piano will be (a) cleaned with an alcohol-based disinfectant and (b) allowed to stand for a minimum of 15 minutes in between each use/performer. We will communicate additional safety instructions regarding set-up and transitions with your acceptance. This will be an acoustic concert in order to minimize the amount of equipment in use and sanitized in between each performance. Only performers will be in attendance at the botanical gardens.
